The Phoenix Ninpo Ryu is an American ninjutsu based curriculum that includes traditional and non-traditional techniques. The curriculum develops practitioners physical, mental, and spiritual skills while developing fluid fighting movements.

Each belt level builds off of the training from the previous rank level. Students under black belt level develop skills in such arts as:

Junaitaijutsu = Rolling skills
Bojutsu =Staff fighting
Jojutsu = Staff fighting
Hanbojutsu = Short stick fighting
Taijutsu = Hand to hand fighing
Tontojutsu = Knife fighing
Fundojutsu =Chain techniques
Kenjutsu = Sword fighting
Iaijutsu = Sword drawing skills

The curriculum aslo includes weapon techniques that are not related to a modern ninjutsu curriculum such as "sais" and southeastern sword fighing techniques.

Throughout the year there are seminar opportunities, for students to experience weapons and techniques that are not listed above.  These include but are not limited to Nagina-jutsu (halberd fighting), Yari-jutsu (spear fighting), and Fukiyajutsu (blowgun shooting).
